The ceramic tile manufacturing facility owned by Azerbaijan Vanhong Ceramics Co. LLC has been officially inaugurated. President Ilham Aliyev toured the facility and reviewed the conditions established within.

Occupying a 20-hectare area, the facility utilizes advanced Chinese technology to produce high-quality ceramic tiles. Initially planned with an investment of USD 40 million and a workforce of 400, the project ultimately reached USD 50 million in investments and currently employs 484 people. With an annual production capacity of 18 million square meters, the facility will serve both the domestic market and export to regional and CIS countries.

Vanhong Ceramics currently operates 5 plants in China and additional enterprises in 5 other countries.

Director General of Azerbaijan Vanhong Ceramics Co. LLC, Chiyi Wang, addressed President Ilham Aliyev, stating, "Dear Mr. President, thank you for honoring us with your presence at the opening ceremony of our ceramic tile production facility."

President Ilham Aliyev responded, “You have made a significant investment in Azerbaijan; 81 million manats is a large figure. These investments, especially by your Chinese company, make a strong contribution. I observed that nearly 500 people are employed here, which also supports our employment program. Such enterprises further strengthen the Azerbaijan-China friendship. This plant has been completed in a year and a half, and I remember laying its foundation a year and a half ago.”

Chiyi Wang: “Yes.”

President Ilham Aliyev: “I am confident that your operations will be successful and that you will continue your work.”

Chiyi Wang: “With your support, everything will go smoothly.”

President Ilham Aliyev: “Very good product. There’s no need for imports anymore. Will you supply the local market?”

Chiyi Wang: “Yes, we will.”

The head of state officially launched the enterprise.
